Youth And Skills Instructor Training...




Penn’s Cycling School Presents: YOUTH and SKILLS Instructor training:

Who: Anyone who works or wants to work with children or adults on bicycles

When: Saturday January 30, 2010

Time: 8:00AM – 3:00PM

Where: Upper Tampa Bay Trail Ranger Station: 9201 W Waters Ave Tampa, Fl - 33635

What: Students will become proficient in implementing the Bicycling Skills 123 for youth and adults. This is the latest updated curriculum is designed by the League of American Bicyclists. Students will be able to conduct and assist in Bicycle rodeos and as a full Skills instructor you will be able to assist adults in developing and refining basic bicycle skills.

Cost: $50.00 (includes materials and lunch) Pre registration required – space is limited

LCI Master Taining

Penn’s Cycling School Presents: LCI Refresher and Master Trainer course.
Who: Any current LCI. This course will update you and help you apply the latest LCI curriculum.
When: January 29th and 30th 2010
Time: Friday 6-9PM and Saturday 8:00AM-3 PM
Where: Upper Tampa Bay trail ranger station: 9201 W Waters Ave Tampa, Fl - 33635
What we will be doing: Friday evening we will train with LCI director Preston Tyree. He will present the new league curriculum and information. We will become League Master Instructors. Saturday morning we will put our new skills to work and teach community members to be League Youth & Skills instructors. The members will be from organizations who deal in bicycle safety i.e.: safe kids, Sheriff’s Department, bicycle shop employees.

Adult Cycling 101

Description:
This is an Adult Cycling Camp for cyclists ages 18 and up. This camp will emphasize road safety and bicycle commuting skills. Students will also learn comprehensive bicycle handling and group riding skills. Students will receive professional instruction and on bike experience from a LAB league cycling instructor/USA Cycling- Certified Coach

A big Thanks to everyone that came out to the Going Green Expo at USF...

My adult cycling classes are going to be on Oct 25, Nov 8 and Nov 22.. from 1-4 PM.. I will post soon details and registration information.. these classes will give you an excellent base of bicycle safety and bike handling skills.. we will have lots of fun and you will learn a lot!

GOING GREEN EXPO

Join me at the USF Marshall Center for the Going Green Expo. Penn Cycling School will be displaying information about upcomming commuting skills classes and TEENSPEED Cycling Club.

The Next Cycling Class will be and Adult Commuting Basics. This class will be held on October 25th from 1-4 at the Florida Medical Clinic BBD blvd.Learn all the important riding and road skills you need to ride safely and defensively for commuting or for pleasure.

NEW CAMPS SCHEULED - dates are tenitive

Adult Cycling Camp: August 2, 2009 - This camp is for cyclist ages 18 and up and will emphasize safe road/commuting skills as well as comprehensive bicycle handling skills.

Junior cycling camp: Saturdays: Sept 5 –Oct 10, 2009 -This camp is for School age Children ages 10-18. This camp will teach cycling foundations covering complete bicycle safety, complete bicycle handling skills, group riding skills and basic bicycle maintenance. 6 (1hour sessions)

Women’s criterium Camp: October 17, 2009
This camp will emphasize criterium skills for riders who want to race or want to improve there racing skills: cornering, body position, pedaling efficiency, drafting, tactics, and other techniques.

Advance registration for all camps is required and space is limited, dates subject to change.
